Advaxis

Advaxis is based in North Brunswick, New Jersey. Advaxis is developing proprietary Listeria cancer vaccines based on the vaccine technology developed by Dr. Yvonne Paterson in the Department of Microbiology at the University of Pennsylvania. Advaxis’ is developing therapeutic cancer vaccines that enhance the immune system’s cancer-fighting abilities. Advaxis, through its proprietary Listeria monocytogenes based system, is utilizing two immunological mechanisms (Innate and Classical Immunity) to develop safer and more effective Listeria based cancer vaccines. Advaxis is the exclusive licensee of a patented broadly enabling Listeria platform technology based on the use of attenuated bacteria Listeria monocytogenes, that can elicit effective anti-tumor responses. Advaxis’ lead Listeria vaccine candidate, Lovaxin C, targets cervical and head and neck cancers. Further Listeria vaccines in development target breast, ovarian and lung cancers. Advaxis is entering a Phase I/II clinical trial in early 2006 . The Listeria platform will also have applications in the fields of infectious disease and autoimmune disorders.

Aestus Therapeutics Inc. is a Biopharmaceutical company using a unique formalized process to mine public available gene expression data to link diseases and biological pathways. This knowledge is leveraged to identify, license and develop clinical stage product with new patentable utility.

Biotech Support Group primary focus is to be the leader in genomic and proteomic sample preparation and enrichment products. These products are based upon patented proprietary technology. Revenues are generated through the sale of high value consumable bottled reagents and application kits primarily targeting the life science academic and industrial research community. The company is also committed to develop the entire process technology including new materials for identification of disease-associated proteins for medical diagnosis in collaboration with ProFact, Inc.

Cambrex Corporation

Cambrex Corporation, a leading supplier of human, health and bioscience products occupies 42,000 sf. for its Cambrex Center of Technical Excellence. The Cambrex Center of Technical Excellence provides dynamic synergies in scientific and engineering knowledge to help its customers optimize drug leaders, determine synthesis pathways, and develop and optimize processes in a cGMP environment. In order to make space more affordable for Cambrex, the Technology Centre has invested over $3,000,000 towards the cost of constructing the Cambrex Center of Technical Excellence.







 

Chromocell Corporation

Chromocell is a life sciences company commercializing a novel technology that significantly accelerates drug discovery and development. The technology allows the rapid and automated production of stable cell lines expressing or suppressing multiple genes, which in turn enables the production of powerful cell based assays and products for use in drug screening and development. Cell based assays are increasingly relied upon and beginning to define a paradigm shift in their favor. Chromocell enables access to the full potential of cell based assays by obviating the most tedious and time consuming steps that hindered the crafting of the most robust and efficient designs. Chromocell will be a leader in the production of stable cell lines and highly crafted cell based assays and products.









 

The Chubb Institute

The Chubb Institute has leased approximately 24,000 square feet within the Tech Centre for consulting services and classroom space to train businesses and students in computer technologies.

ClinTech Research is a New Jersey, USA based Contract Research Organization (CRO) with a wholly owned subsidiary in India. We offer Clinical Data Management (including Clinical IT), and Regulatory Pre-Clinical Toxicology services to Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology companies through our operations in the USA and in India. Neurotez, Inc.

Neurotez, Inc. is a private corporation, formed to study and advance treatments for degenerative disorders of the central nervous system (CNS). Utilizing an integrated platform that spans activities from discovery to proof of concept clinical trials, Neurotez aims to identify and facilitate the commercialization of safe and efficacious CNS drugs. Neurotez’s lead biopharmaceutical is a potential therapeutic for Alzheimer's disease patients, currently in the planning for clinical trials. Additional candidates, identified by exploiting proprietary screening technologies are in the discovery stage.

Together they will define new capabilities for wireless computer and cell phone networks, invent lightweight yet powerful energy sources for products ranging from body implants to hybrid cars, and formulate targeted drug therapies to relieve chronic diseases.







 

Semorex Inc.

Semorex, Inc. is a privately held development stage company focused on developing point-of-care diagnostic and field detection devices that utilize its proprietary molecularly imprinted polymers for selective molecular recognition as sensing elements on sensor modules. These products will provide rapid and accurate real time information to clinicians and emergency response teams in military and civilian operations where immediate action is essential. In addition to saving critical time, Semorex products will lower the costs of and simplify the practice of detection and diagnosis. The Company’s efforts are focused on developing products for markets with significant unmet needs and substantial growth potential. The Company’s breakthrough technology, which combines proprietary advances in polymer chemistry and immunochemistry, enables it to make molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) having selective molecular recognition that mimic the affinity and sensitivity of antibodies. While antibodies display exquisite selectivity, they are not effective for a significant number of targets that are non-immunogenic: lipids, carbohydrates, and small molecules. Sophion's sole focus is to provide advanced products and integrated solutions for automated patch clamping. Sophion's first product is the QPatch 16. Sophion Bioscience A/S was founded in July 2000, emerging from a successful research and development program at NeuroSearch. QPatch 16 is an automated patch clamp system that provides high-quality patch clamp data on a truly industrial basis. The QPatch 16 is the first system in its class with integrated cell preparation and QPlate exchange facilities enabling several hours of unattended operation. The unique flow channel system implemented in the consumable QPlates enables fast liquid exchange around the cell and provides the option to test multiple compounds or concentrations on the same cell. Vincogen Corporation

Vincogen Corporation develops a proprietary bioassay, or biochip, for use in several applications across the diagnostic and pharmaceutical industries. The biochip, which they will market as the ICBiochip, can be distinguished from competing biochips by its higher throughput rates and lower cost. In addition, the ICBiochip is more reliable and flexible in its application than competing biochips due to their Phage technique for attaching solid-state materials (e.g. DNA or protein) to the biochip’s surface.
